Libyan desert glass is a yellow-hued natural glass found in the Libyan Desert and was created roughly 28 million years ago due to an immense meteor impact that occurred in the Barren Desert. The heat of this catastrophic event melted sandstone into molten silica which then formed droplets as it cooled down. It belongs to the mineral group Tektite.
Libyan Desert Glass is believed to connect one to ancient times and the past, providing insight into stories that have long since been forgotten. In addition, it can be seen as a talisman of protection and courage in difficult times. However, this glass also possesses metaphysical properties with potential healing benefits.
This glass has become known for amplifying healing energies, aiding those who are searching for clarity or understanding life’s challenges.
